Target audience: This training is open to mental health professionals such as a Psychologists, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Professional Counselors, Mental Health Counselors, and second year graduate students studying in one of these professions. 

Cost: $600 to $875. See below for payment options, discounts, and payment plans. 

There are two diversity scholarships available. 

Refund policies: A $100 administrative fee will be charged for all refunds. Refunds for course fees (minus the $100.00 administrative fee) will be issued for requests made up to 60 days prior to the start date of the course (January 18, 2026). Cancellation requests made up to 45 days prior to the start date of the course (February 2, 2026) will receive a 50% refund (minus a $100.00 administrative fee). Although we understand emergencies happen, due to fixed overhead costs, we are unable to refund fees within 44 days from the start date of the course.

Prerequisites & Sequence: None. Fundamentals of EFT is recommended, but not required.

General Objectives 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Integrate attachment science and experiential interventions into the treatment of individuals.

  • Identify and intervene in negative intrapsychic and interpersonal cycles that maintain symptoms.

  • Apply EFIT interventions to promote emotional transformation, resilience, and improved relational functioning.

  • Translate EFIT’s core moves to practice settings with individuals while supporting couples and families in building secure bonds.

Ali Barbosa
Ali Barbosa is a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified EFT Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer. He is the founder and director of EFT México, the first ICEEFT affiliated Center in Latin America. Ali has a full-time private practice in Mérida, México, and works with adult individuals and couples, sometimes in a bilingual setting. Additionally, Ali has been certified in CBT and Ericksonian psychotherapy. He has worked and trained with many different EFT trainers and appreciates the richness and integration that derives from collaboration. Ali is very passionate about training and has helped translate and bring the EFT model to Hispanic therapists all over Latin America and Spain.



Diversity Scholarships

Two scholarships available and they will be disbursed on a "first come, first serve" basis. 

Diversity Scholarships are intended for therapists who:

  1. reside in the state of Alaska;
  2. AND identify as belonging to a marginalized group;
  3. AND have financial needs such that they cannot pursue training without a scholarship;
  4. AND will not be using education benefits or receiving reimbursement for this training from an employer (self-employment okay; If you work for a non-profit agency, please contact us for a non-profit discount.)
  5. clinicians currently practicing in the field and have completed a master level or higher degree

The Alaska EFT Diversity Scholarship provides a 30-50% discount off one Full Price ticket for this event.  

Scholarship discounts cannot be applied to student tickets or any other discounts.

Before You Begin Because there are limited funds available for scholarships, we ask candidates to please reflect on whether they truly need a scholarship to proceed. We want to ensure that funds are available for those who need them most.
